May 28 - May 30, 2001

The ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong

Second Announcement

Aims of Conference:

The main goal of this conference is to expedit the development of mathematics and its prospective role in the overall progress of high-level sciences and technologies in China. Besides inviting leading mathematicians in the world to discuss important new developments in mathematics, we would also bring together heads of education funding organizations, members of other mathematical institutions, as well as people who are interested in the development of mathematics in China to discuss and to exchange ideas in the funding and the promotion of mathematical research in China. We hope to see that more young scholars are encouraged to do top-edge mathematical researches and to initiate more collaborations between institutions through this conference. Hopefully, we will also set the blue-prints for China's overall development and research directions in the future.
