Dayue Chen is a Professor of Mathematics at Peking University.
He received his Ph.D. from the University of Califonia, Los
Angeles in 1989. Since then he has taught at Northwestern
University in Evanston, USA (1989-1991) and Peking University
(1991- ). His research interests include Interacting Particle
Systems, Markov Chains and Probability on Trees and Networks.
He was an invited speaker at the 4th World Congress of the Bernoulli
Society (1996) and several national conferences on probability
in China. Prof. Chen serves as the Associate Dean for Scentific
Affairs of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University,
and is a member of the American Mathematical Society and the
Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
