Mu-Fa Chen is a Professor at department of mathematics,
Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China. Professor Chen's current
research interests are in interacting particle systems and spectrum
theory in analysis, geometry and probability theory. He is an author
or coauthor of 3 books and has published more than 60 research papers.
He presented invited lectures
at 23st and 25th International Conference on Stochastic Processes and
Their Applications. He is a past Director of the Institute of
Mathematics and Mathematical Education at Beijing Normal University
and currently the Dean of Graduate School at the University.
He has received the First Class Prize for the Progress on Sciences
and Technology of the Ministry of Education of China in 1998 and
nine other prizes.
