Biography - Wai-Ki Ching

Wai-Ki Ching received the B.Sc. and M.Phil degrees in Mathematics from the
University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China in 1991 and 1994 respectively.
In 1998, he received the doctorate degree in Systems Engineering and
Engineering Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong,
China.
He was awarded "The best student paper prize" in the Copper Mountain
conference, Colorado, USA, "Outstanding Ph.D. thesis prize", Engineering
faculty of the Chinese University and the Croucher foundation fellowship in
1998. He is now working with the SAR government as a Statistician.
His research interests are numerical methods, production planning,
queueing networks and system performance analysis.
