X. S. Zhang is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Mathematics
Institute of Shantou University, Shantou, China. He received his Ph.D.
in applied mathematics at Beijing
Normal University in 1991. His current
research interests are in Markov processes and its applications
in image processes.
Dr. Zhang serves as a associate
director of the Mathematics Institute of Shantou University.
